Ashima Suri founded Limitless Productions in 2007. She was inspired to create work that told real stories and connected to the human spirit. She was motivated to increase awareness and build artist and community capacity.
10-years later, Limitless Productions continues to thrive! Ashima Suri is an award-winning established dance artist that uses performance art and story-telling as a tool for social change. Along with being an actor and writer, Ashima is trained in Bharatanatyam and Contemporary dance. Based in Toronto Canada, Ashima has toured her work to places such as Japan, France and London. She is an active performer, choreographer and teacher always seeking out ways to break down societal barriers through powerful use of story-telling. Ashima is an Artist-in-the Library grant recipient and is excited to work with the Fairview Library community to deliver engaging programming. Ashima has worked with Choreographers such as Tedd Robinson, Hiroshi Miyamto and Takako Segawa. Ashima has also performed for Jamii Esplanade at Nuit Blanche in 2015 and 2016. Is 2017, Ashima has been selected to perform and deliver Masterclasses at this year’s World Dance Alliance Global Summit.
In addition to her artistic side, Ashima is a certified Yoga Instructor and teaches in communities and in studios around the city. She also founded Bolly Yoga – a dance and yoga fusion that incorporates live music for a full healing and therapeutic experience.
